Shortly after 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Belleville police were called to a house on Catherine Street that had apparently been shot at by a paintball gun.
When police arrived, they found two people had been hit by paintballs and there was damage done to the house. There were no serious injuries.
Later on, police stopped a vehicle on College street and arrested 21-year-old Dylan Clarke of Belleville.
Clarke has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and will appear in court on October 1.
