Another new case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Northumberland County on Friday (yesterday).
The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit confirmed in an online update that the case count to date has climbed to 34 with three cases considered unresolved in Northumberland County.
Current high-risk contacts also remain at seven as of Friday. There is no change in this figure since the last update on Wednesday, Sept. 2.
The outbreak, previously declared at Campbellford Memorial Multicare Lodge, is ongoing and still showing as current, according to the health unit’s latest data.
This outbreak was declared last week after one resident at the lodge tested positive for COVID-19. The resident was admitted to Campbellford Memorial Hospital and isolated.
Northumberland’s last positive case was confirmed on September 2. Since August 17, there have been eight new cases confirmed for the area.
