The Belleville Police responded to 90 calls for service between September 1, 2020 at 5 a.m. and tSeptember 2, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Altercation
On September 1, 2020 around 10:30 p.m.,, city police responded to an east end address in regards to a physical altercation between a number of individuals. When officers arrived, many involved had left the scene. Two adult males were transported to Belleville General Hospital with minor injuries. The incident is currently being investigated by police.
Stolen Vehicle
On September 1, 2020 shortly before 6 p.m., city police received a call at an east end business regarding a stolen vehicle. Stolen was a 2013 white Chevrolet Equinox with licnence plate number 625DWC. The vehicle was located a few hours later by officers who continue to investigate the theft. Anyone with information relating to the theft are asked to call the Belleville Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
Liquor Licence Act
On September 1, 2020 around 11 p.m., city police received a call in the south end of the city. Upon arrival, officers quickly realized the male was intoxicated by alcohol. As a result, a 35-year-old Belleville man was taken into custody and later released on a Part I offence notice for being intoxicated in a public place.
