It was far from a normal weekend on part of 8 Wing Trenton’s tarmac.
Alongside aircraft such as the Globemaster, Hercules, and the Griffon helicopter were motorbikes, pickup trucks, classic cars and garden variety compact sedans.
8 Wing’s Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign in conjunction with the local United Way held an event called Rubber on the Ramp where people and their vehicles could be photographed alongside a military aircraft.
The event was popular with 181 vehicles showing up for pictures, raising $2,500. for the United Way.
