One man has been charged in connection to a domestic assault in Marmora and Lake.
Central Hastings OPP responded to a home this morning (Friday) and found a woman had been assaulted and threatened.
Officers searched the area for several hours and located a 30-year-old man hiding in the forest.
The man is facing charges of assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, mischief under $5,000, failure to comply with a release order and failure to comply with probation.
The man was held in custody for a bail hearing today in Belleville.
The identity of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
