There are reports of yet another near drowning incident at North Beach in Prince Edward County.
Emergency crews were called to the scene around 4:00 p.m., with the Prince Edward County Fire Department confirming a call to the beach, but no other details.
Twitter reports from Scan-Quinte indicate a man had gone under the water and hadn’t surfaced, but that Hastings-Quinte Paramedics were performing CPR as of 4:30 p.m. and the patient was taken to hospital just after 5:00 p.m.
This is at least the fifth drowning, or near-drowning in The County since July, with two prior incidents at North Beach and one each at Sandbanks and Wellington Beach.
