There’s still a lot of work to do and that’s why the Liberal Member of Parliament for Bay of Quinte riding will run for reelection whenever a federal election is called.
Neil Ellis spoke on CJBQ’s Lorne Brooker show today (Wednesday).
“There’s a lot to do in the riding and I ran saying we need to improve infrastructure and there’s lots of projects in the queue and I’d like to finish those.”
One of the projects Ellis says he wants to help become a reality is the construction of a new YMCA in Belleville.
Meanwhile, there could be a snap election after the Throne Speech later next month and Ellis is well aware that his Liberal government will need the support of at least one of the opposition parties.
“I don’t think any of them wants to do an election. There’s a lot chest-pounding saying we’re going to call an election but I don’t see that happening.”
Whenever an election is called Ellis will running for a third term in office.
