A federal election hasn’t been called yet but being a minority government, it could come at any time.
Local Liberal Bay of Quinte MP Neil Ellis confirmed to Quinte News on Tuesday without hesitation he is intending to seek re-election if and when the next election is called.
Ellis defeated Conservative candidate Tim Durkin in the last election in 2019 and is currently the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food.
He was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Bay of Quinte in 2015 after serving two terms as mayor for the City of Belleville.
