On August 21, 2020 at 7:44 p.m., police received multiple calls for service for a vehicle driving dangerously in the southeast area of the Town of Cobourg.
Police attended the area and spoke with several witnesses who confirmed the vehicle was being driven dangerously.
Through police investigation, it was learned the driver had attended an address in the southeast of Cobourg and purposely caused damage to a vehicle belonging to his former partner.
On August 22, a 20-year-old-male was arrested and charged with the following offences:
1. Dangerous Operation
2. Mischief – Domestic
3. Causing a Disturbance
4. Criminal Harassment
The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions and a future court date.
The name and address of the accused are being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
