The Children’s Safety Village is tearfully wishing their executive director Julie Bennett farewell.
Bennett, who has been with the not-for-profit since 2017, is moving outside of the Belleville region to be closer to family.
Under her guidance and direction, programming was modernized from police to include fire and internet security and expanded curriculum to address the potential perils our children face today.
Over the past three years, school visits to the Village increased by 440% and hundreds more little feet walked the streets with signature events for Halloween and Christmas.
The Safety Village will welcome their new Executive Director to the role in September.
