A 23-year old man is facing serious charges following a domestic altercation in Belleville Wednesday.
Around 8:30 p.m., city police were called to Purdy Street, where a woman was allegedly assaulted.
Police began searching for a suspect who was located nearby.
The man is charged with assault with a weapon, two counts of assault, pointing a firearm, breach of probation, and threats.
He has a bail hearing upcoming.
