Prince Edward County Mayor Steve Ferguson is asking for a tourism management plan from staff.
He is seeking council’s support during Thursday’s committee of the whole meeting to have a report come forward no later than the end of March next year that would outline the effects of increased tourism in the County including the effects on residents and businesses.
The motion seeks to have a tourism management plan begin in 2021 with a balance between the needs of visitors and the rights of residents of Prince Edward County.
Council meets virtually at 1 p.m.
