A disturbance at an east end Belleville residence last night (Sunday) led to the arrest of the driver who had run from the scene after hitting a hydro pole in the city on Saturday night.
Belleville police responded to a disturbance shortly after 10 o’clock last night and through investigation they discovered the people involved in the crash near Charles Street the night before.
A 22-year-old man from Amherstview was charged with failing to report an accident.
Meanwhile, in another incident, Belleville police arrested a man after damage was caused to a fence at Canadian Tire on Bell Boulevard last Wednesday.
A man was removed from inside the fenced area in the early morning hours of July 22 and video footage showed the damage done to gain entrance to the area.
On Saturday 42-year-old Paul Laroche-Davidson of Belleville was arrested and charged with mischief and two counts of breach of probation.
He has a September court date.
