Careless smoking was the cause of a deck and partial house fire in Glen Miller yesterday (Saturday) afternoon.
Firefighters from the Batawa and Frankford halls responded shortly before 4 o’clock to 624-B Glen Miller Road where a home’s deck was on fire.
Flames had spread into a wall near the deck and up into part of the attic.
No one was injured. About $70,000 damage was done. The home was insured.
