An older man from the Norwood area is facing weapons charges and others, after what police are calling a dispute between neighbours yesterday afternoon.
Officers were called around 3:15 p.m., after complaints that someone had been threatened by their neighbour, with a gun.
The suspect was arrested without incident and investigators seized an unloaded air gun.
Seventy-two-year-old Jim Sherritt is charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, uttering threats to injure an animal, careless use of a firearm, pointing a firearm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He will appear in court in October.
