Warrant Arrest
On July 23, 2020 at 7 a.m., a Belleville officer on patrol stopped a vehicle and discovered the driver was wanted on a warrant by Quinte West OPP. Forty-two-year-old Stacey Little was turned over to the OPP.
Domestic Assault with Weapon
On July 23, 2020 at 5 p.m., Belleville Police responded to an east end house regarding a male who had assaulted a female with a weapon. As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old Belleville resident was arrested and charged with assault, assault with a weapon and unauthorized possession of a weapon. The male was released with a September court date.
Vehicle Collisions
Police responded to 9 motor vehicle collisions in the past 24 hrs.
Seven of the crashes resulted in property damage only.
One crash resulted in minor injuries.
On July 23, 2020 at 4:56 p.m., Police/Fire/EMS responded to the area of Dundas St. W. and Avondale Rd. on the report of a three vehicle collision. Investigation revealed that one of drivers involved was impaired. Minor injuries were also reported. Fifty-six-year-old Paul Lacoursiere from Finch, ON was charged with Impaired Driving and 80 or more milligrams. He was released with an August court date.
