Belleville Police Service responded to 61 calls for service from July 20, 2020 at 5 a.m. to July 21, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Arrested on Warrant
On July 20, 2020 at 10:50 p.m., police were notified by Quinte West OPP that they had a female in custody on the strength of an outstanding Belleville Police Service warrant. Arrangements were made to have the female transported to the Belleville Police Service, where 40-year-old Amanda Lake is being held for bail. The charges include two counts of Failing to Comply with Release Order.
Disturbance Results in Charges
On July 20, 2020 at 11:00 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Victoria Ave. in the city. Police attended the area and conducted an investigation where they learned a male and female were involved in a domestic. As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged the involved male with Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling, Spousal Assault and two counts of Domestic Mischief. The male was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was later released on an Undertaking, given a court date of August 17 to face the charges.
Soon after being released to an address out of the city, the male returned to the city and attended the victim’s residence. Police located the male who was subsequently arrested for Breaching his Undertaking release conditions. As a result, the male is being held for bail at the Belleville Police Service.
