Local health care workers in Hastings-Prince Edward have taken more than 14,500 COVID-19 test swabs since the pandemic began.
That includes tests taken by local paramedics on the COVID-19 Response Team and at assessment centres in Belleville, Quinte West, Prince Edward County and North Hastings.
The local health unit continues to update its testing and case numbers each week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with the trend of no new cases continuing.
HPE hasn’t had a positive confirmed case since May 18 and has been clear of active cases since July 2, with all 43 cases in the area confirmed to be “medically resolved”.
In Northumberland County, 23 of 25 confirmed cases are considered resolved, which means there are two active cases there.
