Some of the parks operated by the City of Quinte West could soon be open for formal recreational classes.
Some owners of businesses offering recreational activities and classes, such as yoga classes, have asked that the city allow them to offer their programs outdoors in parks due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the required physical distancing.
Tomorrow at its virtual meeting council will see a staff recommendation that council allow the classes to be held in parks, with conditions, and that the usual park rental fees be waived for the rest of the summer.
