Members of 8 Air Maintenance Squadron at CFB Trenton held a socially-distanced Change of Command Ceremony today to welcome a new commanding officer.
Lieutenant-Colonel Adam Emond is replacing Lieutenant-Colonel Brian Tang, who had commanded the squadron for the past two years.
Lieutenant-Colonel Emond served with the squadron from 2007 to 2010, working on the CC-130 Hercules aircraft and had deployments to Camp Mirage and Kandahar Airfield in Afghanistan with the Tactical Airlift Unit in 2009.
Among his experience, the Mississauga native has held a number of engineering positions and roles at Canadian Air Division and Canadian Norad Headquarters as well.
He also holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and a Masters in Defence Studies from Royal Military College.
