Belleville’s Andrew Shaw will not return to the Chicago Blackhawks this season.
The 28-year-old two-time Stanley Cup winner is recovering from a concussion suffered last November. The injury limited him to just 26 games.
Shaw posted on social media that he and his family have made the difficult decision that the extra five months will be great for his health and recovery.
Shaw fully expects to return for the 2020-21 season.
