On Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 7:17 a.m., police were dispatched to an address in the northeast area of Cobourg regarding a domestic dispute.
The victim advised police that their ex-partner attended the residence, threatened to damage their property, assaulted them and stole property before police arrival.
After a police investigation, the accused was later located and charged with the following offences:
– Assault
– Utter Threats to Damage Property
– Theft Under $5000
– Possession Under $5000
The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions.
The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
