A large fire broke out on Putnam Industrial Road in the area of L.M.B Transportation in Belleville Saturday morning.
Bags of peanut skins on the ground went up in flames around 4 a.m.
Belleville firefighters responded and deemed the fire under control just after 5 a.m.
This is the second fire at the location in just two weeks.
Back on July 1, spontaneous combustion caused a tractor trailer carrying peanut skins to catch on fire resulting in an estimated $60,000 worth of damages.
No trailers or structures caught fire this morning and no injuries were reported.
The hot and humid temperatures in the Quinte region have caused a few bush and farming equipment fires over the past few days.
According to Scan Quinte, a hay baler in a field caught fire at 2546 Crookston Rd., on Friday. Meanwhile, Prince Edward County firefighters responded to multiple spots along County Road 3 between Rossmore and Rednersville for multiple grass fires in the ditch, which were later deemed under control.
