It’s been quite a lucky week for local lotto players, with two more Quinte Region residents picking up big prizes.
Fifty-nine-year-old Patricia Thorne, a public health worker in Trenton, won $100,000 on the Instant Bingo Doubler game and, since she was born on St. Patrick’s Day, is planning to splurge on a trip to Ireland and use the rest of her winnings responsibly.
She bought her winning ticket at Shopper’s Drug Mart on North Front Street in Belleville.
Meanwhile another 59-year-old woman, Kimberly Pickell from Belleville, won $100,000 on the Instant Bingo Multiplier.
She says she’ll use her winnings to help with her daughter’s upcoming wedding and potentially plan a cruise to Alaska.
Her winning ticket was bought at Pine Street Variety in Belleville.
A Picton man also won $250,000 playing an Instant Crossword game this week.
