A wood frame bungalow with a two-storey attached garage was destroyed by fire early this morning (Wednesday) in Shannonville.
Tyendinaga Mohawk firefighters were called to 62 Beach Road at 3:20 to find the garage fully engulfed in flames.
No one was home at the time. The lower floor of the garage was set up as a rec room while the upper floor was used for storage.
There was heavy smoke, heat, and water damage to the rest of the house.
No one was injured and the cause remains under investigation.
