Spontaneous combustion is believed to have caused a fire that destroyed a parked transport trailer Tuesday morning on Belleville’s Putnam Industrial Road.
The trailer was located at LBM Transportation’s yard and was filled with peanut skins.
The truck tractor was not attached to the trailer. Damage was estimated at $60,000. No one was injured in the fire which started around 8:15.
The trailer and contents were insured.
