Monday, June 29, 2020 is the one-year anniversary of Operation: Stand Proud, presented by Leon’s Trenton – where the Guinness World Record was broken for Largest Human Maple Leaf, as a show of appreciation for our Canadian Armed Forces.
Leon’s Trenton is excited to announce that the City of Quinte West has officially declared June 29, 2020, and each subsequent June 29th thereafter, as “Operation: Stand Proud Day” in the City of Quinte West.
Leon’s Superstore Trenton Owner Mike Eden talking to Quinte News one year ago today.
“Looking back on the event, it’s still incredible to see how our community came together in such a visual show of support and appreciation for our Canadian Armed Forces. We had 3,942 people standing proud with us in the maple leaf that day, wearing red, and singing O’Canada. We believe that together our community can thrive, and Operation: Stand Proud reinforces that. We’ve made history together, and we plan on celebrating our communities accomplishment every year!” says Mike Eden, Owner of Leon’s Trenton.

This re-introduction to an active lifestyle provides members with the opportunity to develop new skills, build confidence and meet peers with similar challenges.“Leon’s Trenton wants to thank each and every one of our partners, sponsors, and volunteers, for making Operation: Stand Proud such a huge success.
So much of your time, effort, and expertise were put into this event and we are so grateful.
Thank you to our participants.
And thank you to the men, women, and their families, who have dedicated their lives to serving our country. We appreciate you!”
