If you live in urban Belleville and have noticed reddish coloured water coming from your taps you’re not alone.
The water is regularily tested and city officials stress it’s only an aesthetic issue and has nothing to do with the water’s quality.
They also say the discolouration has nothing to do with the ongoing work of flushing hydrants which can cause a temporary colour problem with water.
Efforts continue to address the issue to bring the water’s colour back to normal.
