Quinte West will reopen public washroom facilities, splash pads and sports fields starting tomorrow (Thursday).
Splash pads will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily in both Trenton and Frankford.
The public washrooms at Centennial Park and Fraser Park will be accessible from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and two porta-potties will be available at Bain Park and the Frankford splash pad.
Quinte West staff will clean equipment and washrooms at intervals throughout the day to provide a safe experience for residents using the amenities.
When using splash pads, the city is asking people to follow provincial guidelines limiting gatherings to no more than ten people.
The Frankford Tourist Park Canteen will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Canteen operators will clean washrooms according to new city standard protocols.
“It is important that we take all the proper precautions when it comes to reopening these amenities in the ity,” says Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison. “Our staff have worked hard to ensure that the public’s health and safety are our top priorities.”
Sports teams who wish to practice in the evening must reserve their fields through the city in order to have access to washroom facilities. Fields and other facilities can be booked by calling 613-392-2841 x4414.
