A Nepean man is facing a number of charges after an incident in Hastings County yesterday morning.
Central Hastings OPP were called around 8:30 a.m. after reports of a crash on Highway 37, with one driver leaving the scene and allegedly hitting another vehicle and a police cruiser, before getting onto the eastbound Highway 401.
Officers from the Lennox and Addington detachment were able to track down the speeding car near Deseronto Road and used a spike belt to stop it, before arresting the driver.
Thirty-seven-year-old Robert Bell is charged with dangerous driving, impaired driving, flight from police, refusing to comply with a demand and leaving the scene of a crash.
He was also charged with stunt driving and was held in custody for a video bail hearing.
