The heat wave in the region continued yesterday and we were less than one degree celsius away from setting a new high temperature record for the date.
According to Environment Canada and readings taken at CFB Trenton the mercury climbed to a steamy 30.9 degrees yesterday.
That’s almost 88 degrees Fahrenheit.
That was just short of the record for a June 21 in the Quinte region.
That was 31.7 degrees set back in 1953.
