Prince Edward County council will discuss the distribution of some community grant money at its meeting tomorrow night (Tuesday).
Council has over $150,000 in unspent community grant funding due to the COVID-19 restrictions on most activities.
Staff is recommending $40,000 be granted to help the Regent Theatre prepare to offer more online programming to increase revenue.
It’s also proposed that almost $69,000 be set aside in the fall for charities and other organizations who weren’t able to access funding from other sources during the pandemic.
Council meets at 7 o’clock at Highlands Hall in Wellington but the public is not invited due to Covid 19 restrictions.
The meeting will be livestreamed on the county’s website.
