A heat warning has been put in place through the weekend.
Hastings-Prince Edward Public Health staff say hot and humid weather beginning today and continuing through Sunday could lead to symptoms of heat-related illness including heat exhaustion including skin rash, muscle cramps, swelling of hands and feet, dizziness, nausea and others.
Anyone who experiences symptoms like that should immediately go inside to a cool place and drink water.
It’s also important to make sure to check on elderly friends or family members, or those without air conditioning when the temperatures climb, but physical distancing practices should be maintained.
