It was a busy weekend for Central Hastings OPP officers, who investigated 56 calls for service over the past three days including two sudden deaths, a pair of domestic disputes, four car crashes and ten traffic complaints, among others.
One of those crashes happened on Friday evening, around 6:00 p.m. on Highway 7, where a 54-year-old woman from Stittsville was arrested and charged with impaired driving after police say she hit two other cars and tried to leave the scene.
The charges against Charlotte MacDonald include:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired BAC above 80
- Dangerous Operation
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Fail to Remain
- Drive Vehicle or Boat with Cannabis Readily Available
Then early Saturday morning, a 32-year-old Bancroft woman was charged with impaired driving and drug offences, after a car went off the road on Stirling-Marmora Road in Marmora and Lake, just missed a hydro pole and hit a tree.
There were no injuries in that incident, but Amy Ruth Rahm has been charged with.

No further information was released about any of the other incidents officers dealt with over the weekend.
