Brighton council will discuss making it easier for local eateries to do business at its meeting this afternoon (Monday).
In a letter, the Brighton-Cramahe Chamber of Commerce is asking council to adopt a by-law allowing restaurants to create patio space where none exists and to allow restaurants to expand patios if they already have one.
It’s also hoped that Brighton council will approve an “open air street mall” concept to restart the local retail/tourist economy.
Brighton council’s virtual meeting begins at 2 o’clock this afternoon.
