- The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the death of a woman in Deseronto.
On June 9, 2020, shortly after 9:30 p.m., officers responded to an apartment on Main Street, where a 75-year-old woman had been located deceased by a local resident. Hastings-Quinte paramedics also responded to the scene.
A post mortem examination has been performed, but further testing will be conducted with the assistance of Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
The identity of the deceased is not being released at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing with members of the L&A County OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
