On June 8, 2020 at approximately 7:15 p.m., officers of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Belleville Road and Thomas Street West in Greater Napanee.
A vehicle hit a hydro pole and then drove away.
Officers located the vehicle a short time later on Bridge Street.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver fled on foot.
A suspect was arrested moments later.
A Standard Field Sobriety Test (SFST) was conducted and the individual was transported to the L&A County Detachment for further testing.
Jeffrey Allan Hogle, age 41 of Greater Napanee has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.
The accused was further charged under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario with:
– Fail to remain at the scene of an accident, and;
