Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a motor vehicle on County Road 46 for speeding.
At approximately 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2020 an officer observed a motor vehicle travelling at 180 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
The 24-year-old driver of Havelock, Ontario was charged with:
- Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed
- Driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on October 15, 2020.
