It’s hoped that this summer’s version of Pop-Ups on the Bay in Belleville goes a lot better than last year’s.
At its meeting Monday, city council will be asked to agree to enter into agreements with eleven businesses who will operate
small shops along the bayshore in West Zwick’s Park.
Last year’s promotion was ruined by high water levels and the pop-ups (only two) were moved to Riverside Park along the Moira River where they were not successful.
The businesses wishing to sign up for the summer are as follows: Royal Haveli Indian Food, Durette’s Chalk Design and Durette’s Photography, Nadine O’Hearn-MacNeil and clothing and accessories, a specialty hotdog cart, Golden Scoop, a coffee and beverage shop, Smokin Renex Southern BBQ Food Truck, Artisan Collective Market, a food truck, Venture Outfitters and Brick Oven Pizza Truck.
If approved the pop-ups would operate from June 18 until September 7.
