As the suspect vehicle entered the Town of Greater Napanee on Highway 401, further attempts were made to bring the vehicle to a stop.
During that attempt, two police cruisers and the suspect vehicle sustained minor damage but the vehicle continued westbound.
A short while later, the suspect vehicle entered the ditch and came to a stop near the Belleville/Tyendinaga Township border.
The driver fled the vehicle into a wooded area north of the highway. An OPP canine unit tracked the suspect to a property where the suspect was found hiding inside an outbuilding.
Jack David Bradley, 31 year-old from Lyndhurst, Ontario was arrested at the scene and has been charged with:
- Theft of a motor vehicle;
- Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle;
- Flight from Police;
- Driving while prohibited; and
- Breach of a probation order , all contrary to the Criminal Code.
He appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice, via video link, for a bail hearing Thursday afternoon.
