If the weather cooperates there should be a bigger and better skateboard park in Brighton by the fall.
Monday afternoon Brighton council approved a $230,000 tender from a British Columbia company to build a new skateboard facility at King Edward Park.
About half of that money came from an Ontario Trillium grant with the rest is coming from fundraising and council.
Mayor of Brighton Brian Ostrander says the project brought the community together.
It’s hoped construction will begin in July.
