A special weather statement has been issued for the Quinte region as summer-like temperatures settle in for the next couple of days.
Environment Canada has not yet issued a heat warning but does say the region will be monitored and that may change as daytime highs in the low 30s are expected tomorrow (Tuesday) into Thursday, with humidex values making it feel more like the high 30s.
We will however get some relief during the overnight hours to give a break from the heat.
