It’s another quiet day on the “new COVID-19 case front” in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.
HPE Public Health is reporting no new cases today, with the total number of confirmed cases since the pandemic began steady at 43.
There are also no new probable cases today.
The Health Unit says 31 patients have recovered from the illness and five have died, leaving the total number of active cases at seven, with none of those people currently in hospital.
6,689 people in our area have been tested for COVID-19, with 254 results pending and a local case positivity rate of 0.7%.
The Haliburton, Kawartha and Pine Ridge Health Unit has also declared the COVID-19 outbreak at Maplewood Nursing Home in Brighton over as of today (Friday).
