There’s some indication Belleville may be getting ready to bounce back after COVID-19 in 2020.
The word is that seven applications will come before the city’s Planning Advisory Committee on June 1.
Planning Chair Councillor Paul Carr tells Quinte News that he has just learned about the seven new applicants, doesn’t know all the details yet, but says, “That is great to see.”
It will be a virtual meeting which means the members of the public who wish to speak to one of the issues will have to apply to appear electronically.
Carr emphasizes, “Biggest thing is everybody will have the opportunity. We’re asking one designate from the applicant or agent to speak to the item and then if members of the public want to speak they just have to register in advance. It’s a little different but quite frankly now council meetings, the business of the city, and all its committees, we all start firing up on video conferencing at this point.”
