Following the province’s announcement that additional workplaces can reopen, Shire Hall (332 Picton Main Street) and the Picton fire hall (8 McDonald Drive) will reopen on Tuesday, May 19 to once again serve the public.
The offices will be open between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday to Friday with limited services available. Residents will be able to pay a bill or purchase a burn permit.
To ensure the safety of the public and staff in these facilities, the municipality will:
- Limit the number of members of the public in the offices at any one time to enable physical distancing
- Undertake increased cleaning and disinfecting of common contact points and restrict access within the buildings
The municipality is asking residents to make only essential visits to Shire Hall and the Picton fire hall.
The public can pay a variety of bills, access services, and buy burn permits online without having to visit a municipal office.
