A marijuana production facility in a section of a large east end Belleville warehouse building is being recommended for council’s approval by city staff.
There was little comment at a March public meeting on the proposed 6,000 square metre marijuana growing operation and the Planning Advisory Committee sent the plan to staff for a recommendation.
The business would be located within a 12,000 square metre warehouse at 665 Dundas Street East and it’s estimated up to 40 jobs could be created at full capacity.
The Planning Committee will vote on the staff recommendation at its meeting Monday.
