Two people from Kingston have been charged following a traffic stop near Odessa on Tuesday afternoon.
Lennox and Addington OPP were alerted to a suspect vehicle on the 401 travelling with unregistered plates.
The officer stopped the vehicle and while speaking to the driver, the officer spotted drugs in plain view.
Cecil Clayton Merkely Jr, 26, and Chelsey Merkely, 22 have been charged with trafficking methamphetamine and trafficking other drugs.
Chelsey is facing additional charges of driving while under suspension and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
Both are scheduled to appear in Napanee court in July.
