Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is again reporting no new cases of COVID-19 in our area today.
The total case number actually dropped by one, after a person who doesn’t live in Hastings Prince Edward tested positive for the virus while visiting here and their case has been transferred back to their home health unit.
The current total number of positive tests is 42 and with five deaths and 24 recoveries, the current active COVID-19 caseload is 13, with one patient in the intensive care unit.
There are 185 probable cases in the two counties as of Monday morning, with more than 4,300 tests completed and almost 4,000 negative results and 1% positivity rate.
The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge Health Unit says 13 of 14 positive COVID-19 cases in Northumberland County have been resolved.
