The Municipality of Tweed has decided, following consultation with the Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health Unit, to open two public boat launches.
The Tweed Public Boat Launch at 125 River St. East and the Cosy Cove Boat Launch today (Thursday).
The launches are open under the conditions that physical distancing be maintained and people must be at least two metres apart while on land or on a boat.
The boat docks will not be put in this year and there is absolutely no fishing off the concrete pad until the provincial state of emergency is lifted.
The remainder of Tweed Memorial Park remains closed until further notice.
