A 25-year-old suspended driver from Quinte West has been charged following a two vehicle accident near Brighton on the weekend.
Northumberland OPP responded to a collision on Highway 2 near Branscombe Road shortly before 7 a.m. on Saturday.
Officers found a vehicle with severe damage and the lone occupant found to be impaired by alcohol.
The driver was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries.
Taylor Elizabeth Haryett was charged with operation while impaired, blood alcohol over 80 mgs and driving while suspended.
Haryett was released and will appear in Cobourg court next month.
